It's the age-old battle of the sexes made new again on the deep green gardens and grounds of Salisbury House. Watch Petruchio and Kate match  wits and tempers in a delightful performance of William Shakespeare's comedy, "The Taming of the Shrew." Once again, the creativity of director Lorenzo Sandoval brings a dynamic energy to this classic production, for the fifth season of Salisbury House's Shakespeare on the Lawn series.

Salisbury House & Gardens is made for Shakespeare. The splendid gardens, scenic woodlands and the grand Tudor-style architecture of Salisbury House itself display a setting for Shakespearean productions that cannot be duplicated anywhere in the country. The House's Great Hall is crowned with 16th century rafters, originally from the White Hart Inn in Salisbury, England, under which, it is said, Shakespeare performed.
