Scheduling School Tours
School Group Tours
School groups and college-sponsored classes are welcome to tour Salisbury House. Tours of Salisbury House typically last just over an hour. Tour planners should plan on an hour and a half of time for their event from the time the bus arrives at Salisbury House to the time it departs. This will provide you with ample time for restroom stops and a chance to visit the museum shoppe either before or after the tour.
If you are interested in scheduling a tour of Salisbury House, please email at contactus@salisburyhouse.org or phone at 515.274.1777. A nominal fee of $2 per person is requested. Bus drivers, teachers and chaperones are admitted at no cost.
Scheduled tour times for school groups will be arranged based on the public tour schedule and any other events that may be scheduled for the day. If you have special needs or requests for your group, please let Salisbury House know in advance.
Try to schedule your group tour of Salisbury House at least one week in advance if you will have ten or more in your group. Smaller groups may be requested to join the public tour schedule for the day.
